Academic Advisors provide free support for all students and can assist you to develop your research, writing, critical thinking and study skills.
The Academic Advisors work alongside you and your tutors in the classroom. They run small group sessions and provide one-to-one support.
The academic learning services team is called Poutama which refers to the ascending stepped pattern used in Māori weaving that represents the process of learning – learning as a shared process building on existing knowledge and experience.

Academic Advisors visit these campuses regularly and you can make a face to face appointment at the reception desk at each campus.
